The Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc. is an organization with a long history. It began with an advertisement in the Flint News Advertiser in January, 1942. Throughout WWII, mothers served in hospitals, and train stations, packing care packages, and helping wherever they could. The organization was officially chartered by Congress in June of 1960.
Today, nearly 6,000 members in over 200 chapters across the country continue to serve and support our military, veterans, and those families who couragously serve with them.
The Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc. is a non-partisan, non-political, non-sectarian organization. We do not support any political candidate nor do we endorse any religious organization. The military represents all aspects of America as does our organization. We are a 501(c)3 Organization.
